Trotskyist Platform’s Article About Genuine Trotskyism in the 21st Century Has Now Been Issued in Print Form

17 September 2022: Trotskyist Platform’s article, “Trotskyism: Lighting the Path to Revolution in the Capitalist World & Ensuring Socialism’s Final Triumph in China“, has now been finalised and edited and printed as a book. Subscribers to our journal, The Spark, will receive the book in the mail next week. We had earlier this year published the article online in provisional form.

The production of this book is an important milestone for our tendency. The writing and production of the book was the product of a great deal of research and work by several comrades. It motivates some of the key planks of our tendency and lays out in detail the theoretical and strategic platform that we believe revolutionary socialist parties must be built on. Especially at a time when the masses’ (in the capitalist countries) plunging living standards and widespread disenchantment with their lot could be harnessed by either ultra-reactionary, far-right outfits or by revolutionary leftist forces providing a way upwards out of the spiral of capitalist decline, complete clarity on the path needed to fight for socialism is more crucial than ever.

Trotskyist Platform stands against the capitalist system. We struggle towards a socialist society where exploitation of labour, racism, oppression of women and colonial subjugation of “Third World” countries will become things of the past. Our party has been built by comrades who came to our shared political outlook from a wide range of political backgrounds. Trotskyist Platform works hard to contribute to the building of a revolutionary workers party that will stand in the tradition of the early years of the Communist International (CI) that was formed in the wake of the October 1917 socialist revolution in Russia.
